The article has no coverage of the film's production, so I don't think it meets the criteria for B-Class at this stage. Keeping as Start-Class for now. As far as I've understood from reading the novel and watching the film, Eli is not a girl, though his gender is intentionally ambiguous at first.
I don't think it's exaggerating to say that most of the folks over here in ScreenAnarchy land have gone gay for the Swedish vampire film Let The Right One Inarguably one of the best genre films of last year. With just over two weeks until this modern masterpiece hits DVD and Blu Ray in the US, anticipation is high within the fan community so what better way than to release some tension, or make you want it even more than to take a look at two deleted scenes from the film. Those gore covered lads over at Bloody Disgusting have snatched the two scenes over to their site so head on over to take a gander. For those who've read the book on which the film is based on, I noticed a certain shameful object in the hands of Oskar in the later scene but was omitted completely from the finished film.
John Ajvide Lindqvist, who adapted the screenplay from his horror novel, openly borrowed the title from Morrissey, a favorite. Pale and strange: with his light blond hair and alabaster skin, the year-old Oskar appears not quite of this world, an alienation of body and spirit that causes him enormous pain but proves his salvation. The seemingly friendless only son of divorced, emotionally remote parents, he is also an outcast at school.
