A dazzling and daring assortment of life-size statues of bronze nude dancers and performers have frolicked and struck different poses outside the Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona for nearly four decades. In all, there are a dozen unique statues in artist John Waddell's "Dance" series, mostly of women. This street-displayed artwork is on the south side of the theater.

Not long ago I was reading something where different women were being rejected by Playboy for pictorials due to insufficient breast size. I enjoyed Playboy much more when there was a large variety of real women being used throughout the magazine. Need difference.
These pictures remained under lock and key during his lifetime and only a few of his friends knew his quiet, intimate black-and-white images. While Leiter had his color film processed by photo labs in New York, he developed the nudes himself in his own darkroom. His female models were friends or lovers, whom the artist portrayed in his New York apartment over the course of some 20 years. The Helmut Newton Foundation will now present for the first time around unique vintage and late prints, printed by Saul Leiter himself.
